Unable to Comment on Blogs

January 4th, 2023 at 03:02 am

I’ve been unable to comment on any blogs for some time now. I’m not sure what the issue is since I can see comments from others and nothing has changed on my end – computer, web browser, etc.

I especially appreciate Wink’s most recent blog entry. This is the year I’ve planned to retire and several unplanned potential expenses and risks of expenses have come to light. I’m determined not to fall into the ‘one more year’ rut. I think my health and happiness will improve from letting work go, even if it means that we’re living lean.

One new year’s resolution for sure: blog more often. I’ve just gotten out of the habit.

Someone else mentioned that they couldn’t comment on blogs.

I agree with you not falling into the one more year trap. Having lost a current & former co-worker unexpectedly in about a month’s time has reinforced how short life is.

I remember that as I got closer and closer to my targeted retirement date, I got less and less nervous about doing it. I was prepared, everything was paid off, I had decent retirement and emergency fund savings. I wasn't rich by any means, and I was (and am) fine with living lean. I just wasn't willing to sacrifice one more day of my health and happiness for another paycheck. So far, I have absolutely no regrets!

sometimes I can comment on one or two but then it doesn't let me do any more ...
still I hope nobody goes away!! I would so miss it here!

Speaking from my own experience, my health improved once I retired. I could concentrate on taking better care of myself. Hope that happens for you as well.

Sometimes this site is just crazy!
